“The best Ideas generally come from somebody needing to scratch an itch.” (or something to that effect) Michael Arrington, TechCrunch founder and co-editor.
The Itch – Good craft burgers are too few and way far between. Other than a trek to Galleria Market, DLF Phase 4, Gurgaon doesn’t have much to offer a burger enthusiast left hapless and dejected; having to settle for convenient alternatives that hovered over the itch but never quite scratched it.
* What is a craft burger? Look up “craft beer” online and then translate that to Burgers.
The Idea – Three Urban Indian men first saw the launch of chandrayaan and then the mangalyaan and heard about its cost advantages (we Indians do love us a good bargain). So we decided we will make a cost effective, big burger; use Indian spices & flavours (radical stuff, we know!); and ask people what they thought of our creation. We wanted to have fun with this.
We began testing these burgers on ourselves, our friends and lucky, random strangers over a year ago. Along the way we lost a few friends (don’t be alarmed…they’re alive), gained a few inches around the belly and worked extremely hard to finally get here!
A place where we can offer you food we would be happy to eat ourselves.
NOTE – ‘We believe in fate, We adore, eat, create and sell Burgers and the founder a ‘Singh’. The words ‘Burger’ & ‘Singh’ were meant to be together like one of those romantic movies where a girl with no expression, falls in love with a vampire boy with glitter on his face and no blood circulation.
We are not, in any way, associated with Burger King and have NO intention to take advantage of any goodwill Burger King has earned. We have a distinguished identity as a small craft burger Joint. We are Burger Singh. Fyi -This is probably the only instance in the history of mankind that Singh is most certainly not King
